So close you could see his nosehairs...

Yeah, I've been playing with ripping PS2 movies. That's a rather... up close shot from Wangan Midnight's opening. I still need to figure out how to unpack movies from Konami games, though...

Not much has happened since the last writing, either... mostly work and stuff... though we actually did our XP Lasersport visit this week, since the mall is back to regular hours and I felt like doing it ^^; I went there directly from work, while Patty and Faith met me there. A bunch of people were there, and I -finally- met Tuxedo Alex ^^; Siana and a few others met up with us, too... as soon as I get some kind of photo gallery functioning working properly, I can show you photos - including having 4 people attempt Maxx Unlimited double EX ^^;

After the place closed, everyone left (though Alex and Faith had left earlier), but I had the idea of eating a very late dinner... Siana wanted to come, and Patty was with me, so we did just that ^^; Too bad the service kinda sucked... badly ^^; At one point, we were eating using toothpicks as chopsticks, as they had forgotten to give us utensils, after making us wait over half an hour for our food...

In any case, found out my work hours... apparently, hours are now very slim, so for once I only have two shifts - however, I am working opening to closing on New Year's Day for some odd reason. Granted, it's modified Sunday hours, but still...

I'll probably head to Springfield tomorrow and/or some other point in the week - Chris actually got IIDX and people are over there playing it even now ^^; Just need to see when Patty can do it... and the Legend is overdue for its service check...

On a side note, if this DWI really is made from the official steps, Cartoon Heroes' official steps are retarded. o.O

Merry Christmas...

Yeah. A bit late, but I didn't get to the comp much yesterday, so blah. =P

Actually, it hasn't been a very memorable set of days... mostly spent eating, sleeping, etc... I didn't ask for any presents but I got a couple anyways - a $50 or so shirt from Banana Republic from Peter, and a $200 check from mom o.O As usual, I wasn't able to really buy anything. -_- At least they have the movies I've been buying them since we got the HDTV...

I also played a bunch of Wangan Midnight - I got through all the missions (there are sub-missions after beating the final mission, where you play the other drivers in the same scenarios. I've gotten past all but Mission 3-2 - the 300 km/h mission with the Black Bird. I'm on my 220th try and still haven't been able to do it - I got 299 km/h twice now -_- I've actually attempted it to the point that I lost feeling in my right thumb from all the pressure exerted on the accelerate button... since then, pressing on the thumbnail makes it REALLY hurt. I think it's slightly swollen too...

Anyways, now we're back to regular work hours - though I still have to take the next 3+ days straight since Gary is on vacation or something... one of the temps and Renee got fired, but the remaining temp is sticking around, and even got some register training, so maybe he'll be around if I end up quitting. Whether or not I actually quit is up to MC...

Gotta get ready for work, so I guess I'll write more later. Check these pics out though... shots from the recently-released DDR Extreme ^^

Sleepy sleepy...

Yep, just now getting back to the comp after a pretty crazy few days. I guess I'll run by this really quick...

Friday: Club. DDR. Tomo passing a bunch of Onis. Me failing a bunch of Onis.

Saturday: Class - final skit. The skit between me and Natheer went well - it was short, so we didn't mess up the lines, and some non-scripted actions went well with the class (Natheer getting pegged by chalk from Mike, who we grabbed as our last-minute "sensei", and our drunken rave-like actions when we started theh music). The longer skit didn't go so well, since I screwed up virtually all of my lines. It was expected since I had 50% of the total lines in a 4 person, 3 minute long skit. Still pretty bad. I should have hid a copy of the script to read from.

After all the skits were over, Cristina's mom actually entered the classroom, for the sole purpose of eating food. (Don't ask.) I happened to have all my DDR stuff from club, so I ended up bringing that in, and we played a bit, though softly since there were actually final exams being done in the basement level. After that, I headed to work hours from hell...

... but first, since I had gotten out of class early (around 2:10), I ended up going to Chris's house to drop off my stuff. Chris ordered a pizza upon my arrival, which ended up in me staying for a little nap (which I never got) and a couple slices of pizza, the first food I had for the day. The house was also ungodly hot - apparently, Tiff likes to turn the heat way up. ^^; Not that I wasn't uncomfortable - I'm much more comfortable in heat than cold - but it was rather unusual to have a room temp close to 85 degrees when it's 40-50 outside. ^^; Ended up going to work at around 3:45...

Yep. Work is hell. Started early since they seemed to need the help, only to be forced to take my only break of the evening 10 minutes later. This meant I would not be able to leave the store for the entire night, even for food. This succeeded in annoying me for most of the evening. Got written up because some little kid overheard me muttering "shit" under my breath, and the mother complained quite verbally to Calvin about it. It wasn't directed toward the kid, but bringing up $35 worth of stuff, then forcing me to void it all out because she only had $5 was kinda retarded.

Finally got out at around 12:45, and rushed down to Chris's, where everyone was still awake, except for Shiene (which I had bought a present for, as she was my Secret Santa person type thingy) and Clara. Patty and Josh were there, too - I think they were playing Silent Hill when I walked in. I found out what my present was - two varieties of cheeses - Monterey Jack and Pepperjack. Naturally, I had to refuse the gift since I'm somewhat lactose intolerant (and I also just plain don't like cheese), so I walked away with nothing. I hope Shiene didn't already have a dog Gir plushie ^^;

IIDX hadn't arrived on schedule, so none of that. We did actually get to linkplay Wangan Midnight Racing and Time Crisis 2, which was really fun. Also did a bunch of Silent Hill playing... damn weird game.

I fell asleep at some point after 4pm as they were playing Time Crisis 2... I think ^^; I was on the floor, with no blanket, in the middle of the night, and apparently it was cold, in contrast to the summer-like temperatures of earlier. I ended up cuddling with Patty under her blanket since I was freezing, and I had no pillow ^^;

Woke up very late - around 2pm - and kept going back to sleep until around 3 or so. Most of the people had left by then - Ek and David were still in the basement, working on getting AAAs on all of DDRMAX and DDRMAX2 on Stepmania. o.O People also went to go pick up a new SNK MVS cabinet from Game Time. It had a busted-up tube, but it was a lot better than their existing MVS cabinet. Chris said they'd probably convert the existing one into Capcom hardware... though I question how well they could swap games with the CPS-2/3 encryptions.

We also spent a lot of time doing the single-player mission mode in Wangan Midnight, and the end result of hours and hours of play was... one car. We only unlocked one car, and never got the chance to use it - furthermore, it seemed to be exactly identical to another car we already had. We have some funny replay videos of a few of the missions, though ^^ I had gotten up to Mission 3 before, and it took almost 50 tries for Kevin to finally make it - the requirement was to finish the entire course at a speed of 300 km/h or more - twice, we came in at 299 ^^; The rest of the missions were no problem, up to Mission 9 - an 18 km course where you could not allow the opponent to pass you, or you fail instantly. -_- Kevin gave up, but I finally beat that, and, after a lot of practice, conquered the final Mission 10 - where I had to take the S30Z (referred to as the "devil Z" by Chris) against the Black Bird (the other "devil" car) and simply beat it - without touching any walls. Apparently, head-on collisions with other vehicles was fine, but touching a wall meant instant failure. Had to analyze how to take the big turns to finally beat him - though it was 10 tries before we could PASS him, since the Black Bird was a faster car and it started in the lead.

After that, I promptly went to sleep. ^^;

Kept getting woken up by Chris and Patty, until kinda waking up around 10pm, since Josh had work in the early morning and we had to get him home. We ended up taking Clara with us, going to Mike's house to pick up Hanna, and taking them back to the Pak residence. After that, dropped Josh off at home, and dropped Patty off. I spent most of that night thinking a lot about what happened after dropping Josh off... I'll write about that some other time.

Monday and today: more work. Yay. Slept in, went to work at 3:30 on Monday, got out at 12:15 or so, and went home. My next shift started at 7am (ugh), so I tried to sleep but didn't actually fall asleep until around 4am. The alarm was set to 6am, but I slept through it for an hour, and ended up waking up at 7:15. The alarm had been trying to wake me up the whole time -_- Called in to explain that I'd be coming late, and rushed to work, incredibly sleepy. Wasn't the only one, and it looks like it wasn't really a big deal. The mall was very empty, and there weren't going to be any opening tasks until 9am. I was even able to leave and grab breakfast from Burger King. Worked until 1pm, promptly took my leave, and went home.

I just tried signing up for my classes - I need to visit some departments to override me for courses that the system won't let me enter automatically, but for the most part, I'm done picking what I want to take this coming semester. It's actually going to be a busy semester this time, so no more free time. Now, Christmas is coming, I don't know if relatives are coming, and... it's snowing. I don't remember hearing anywhere that it was going to snow. Oh well... I need sleep now ^^;

Shigoto ga ippai...

Yep. Too much work. Worked today, and somehow got convinced to help out for 4 or so hours tomorrow in the daytime. They really should pay overtime for part-time people who work almost to the point of having full-time hours.

I'm apparently not going to get time for the ADV project this week - work and SF (along with some errands to prepare for the weekend) tomorrow, anime club on Friday, the final skits, work, and going to Chris's at 1am on Saturday... at least I took off Sunday so that I don't have to rush back to work after that -_-

Overworked? Probably. And I think I'm coming down with something. Soda always tastes somehow different when you're sick.

Well, time to get some rest, if I want to be awake for my work hours tomorrow...

Hurray for Talim!...

Got an interesting piece of wisdom from my cousin over IM a couple days ago...

a new understanding of finals:
Fuck, I Never Actually Learned Shit.

Ended up going to Springfield yesterday. Before that, I tried to get to the transfer center at MC but gave up after trying to find a parking space for 20 minutes. -_- Going to go again in a minute, maybe now I can find parking. Also went to Suncoast to see if I had to work on Wednesday - yep. My LotR plans are officially canned. -_-

Finally made it to SF around 5pm thanks to traffic. DDR MAX2 was back up, so I played a little of that, and a lot of SC2 ^^; Alanna was there almost the whole time. She's a pretty fun person to talk to =P Eric and Harold were there - apparently, Eric is staying with Harold for a week. I'm told he doesn't work for Namco arcade anymore o.O Together they actually passed MAX 300 and MaxX Unlimited double by each taking a side ^^; Patty, Stacy, and Pat all left an hour or so later, while Josh stayed with me. We ended up going to Chris's house afterwards.

Copied over the DDR MAX J save, and started playing doubles on controller, kinda the same way Eric and Harold were at the arcade o.O Bounma also brought back a live Christmas tree - note, live trees are a pain to stand up properly when the trunk is at an angle ^^; Borrowed Wangan Midnight Racing, and went home... I played Wangan a bit when I got home (got another secret car, above the one we got a couple months back), then went to sleep.

I'm planning on staying home until at least around dinnertime today - I do want to finish that ADV project ^^; Hopefully there isn't too much trouble with the contracting since it's so late now...

Too much work...

Yeah. I hadn't realized that the mall is now staying open until 11pm at night, every night, for the rest of the holiday season. Meaning I'll be at the mall until past midnight almost every day that I work. -_-

So yeah. I worked insane hours the entire weekend, explaining why I wasn't online much. Between work shifts, I slept, played controller DDRMAX, and tried to finish watching Chance Pop Session, which I finally did this afternoon.

Big problem though - I didn't get the LotR opening night off of work -_- I've been desperately trying to get someone to cover for it, but no luck... the only shot I have left is to see if Jason can swap shifts with me that day, so I end up working all morning instead of all night, and he works my shift. I won't know until tomorrow, though... most likely, I'll end up working and miss yet ANOTHER event due to work... this'll be what, the 7th one in a row?

December 14, 2002
Owwww...

My stomach has been bothering me for the past 3 hours now -_- I don't think it liked that odd chicken+rice burrito I ate today...

Nope, I didn't get a chance to meet with a councellor today, either. I ended up arriving 20 minutes after they closed -_- At least my DDRMAX saves are complete, at least for single mode - all my records, for all difficulties in single, are AA or above. It was a bitch to get Flash in the Night, Fantasy, Twilight Zone, etc... I took at least 40 attempts on each of those before actually getting it. -_-

Club went as planned, though I arrived quite late. No Josh - he was either sick, playing Metroid Prime in 480p, or both. ^^; We played Powerstone 2, Halo, Mark of the Wolves, and DDRMAX USA. Kevyn came by and finally got to me the CT anime tape (missing for months on his shelf) and his old motherboard - which I can use to build a faster PC, though not of the upper end of the spectrum, assuming I buy the CPU, RAM, and... uhhh, I guess everything else ^^;

After club, we decided to resume our XP Lasersport ritual one last time. I drove Patty, Kevyn, and Faith, and we all stayed there until about 10 minutes past closing. We met up with some friends that we had met last time - and it turns out one of them was one of Kevyn's best friends from middle school o.O I also tried Love RevenG oni single for the first time - we didn't expect to make it past Matsuri Japan remix, but we both made it - though Kevyn failed out at Afronova remix, I hold a full combo until Tsugaru remix, which ends my game, at a pretty good 44% ^^;

After the place closed, we stood outside around an hour talking, while Patty and Faith were inside, also talking. Dropped off Patty, Faith, then Kevyn, and went home, dealt with stomach a bit, and now typing this. About to shower, sleep/watch Chance Pop Session 1 (that, and Princess Nine 3-6 arrived today, big shipment), and tomorrow I have the usual marathon class+work session. Wee...

This mode is difficult!...

After nearly finishing the Variety oni course at Pat's house (messed up halfway through Paranoia Evolution), went home and finished it, and the Club Trax oni. Also got around 34% through Home Bass... and, got a new AAA, this time on Peace Out standard (yes, 2x). Pics are put up where the last batch were.

Yesterday, I went to campus, and found that Patty and Maddy had run a few errands, and we needed to wait for them to come back. When they did, we went to Chili's, where I spent entirely too much money on food -_- Can't really afford eating during work breaks now... again. (I've really done it this time, too... $3 left in my wallet and only $19 in my bank account...)

We headed on to Pat's house after that (we veered off from the other two cars to pick up Josh), and basically stayed there from 2pm to 7:30. Note: PS2 games hooked up via composite cable to a 65" widescreen HDTV, chock full of SVM and LTI crap, looks like complete ass. Someone will have to calibrate that monstrosity of his someday, I wouldn't be able to watch a movie on that thing the way it is set up now. (Of course, I also need to calibrate two of the TVs here too since the settings were lost in the power outage.)

We played PPP, Super Smash Bros. Melee, DDRMAX (both of them), Mark of the Wolves, and KOF2k. Didn't get a chance to play Vampire Night, since that wouldn't have worked on the HDTV, and we never bothered moving to another TV. Pretty fun, and it was nice that the PPP sensors actually worked this time. It's a pain to calibrate them properly...

We all left at 7:30, since Pat's parents didn't know he was having people over and I assume he wanted to clean up and not leave any evidence behind. Dan took Stacy and Harrah home while I took Patty and Josh. After dropping off Josh, went to Best Buy to pick up some ethernet cables, and tried to get a class schedule for Spring semester. Building was all locked up, though, and security told me I had to wait until tomorrow. -_- Went home, and basically went to sleep.

Today I really do have to meet with a councellor (though it probably won't get done anyways) and then follow through with our typical anime club plans. We'll probably actually make it to Laurel this time, too! =P

Hurray for decisions...

Yep, another day spent entirely at home, at the mercy of the weather. Nothing happened over at Pat's since no one could get out of their houses, and I assume Dave cancelled his get-together as well, though I do not know for sure since the weather also knocked out our internet connection for almost the entire day.

Big thing that needs to happen - I really need to figure out what my academic future is going to be like. I've pretty much completely derailed off the course of Comp Sci, but I'm still on a similar track, so... I dunno. Have to figure out something...

Tomorrow, looks like I'll be talking it over with a transfer councellor. Also need to see what Pat's doing - apparently, no one knows what plans are now, not even Patty.

Oh yeah... after the last post, I ended up playing DDRMAX on controller for a couple hours... check here to see some of the more interesting accomplishments o.O

Sometimes I wonder...

After all this time of going under this nick (since September 1998!), I wonder why I still sometimes end up typing "starcrator" o.O

Today was a bit of a bust - woke up late, so naturally didn't make it to the planned meeting with Natheer in time - arrived at 12:40, and that was 40 minutes too late. He was long gone, so I ended up going down to SF again, since Patty and the others also went, and there was really nothing else to do. This time, I played a lot more SC2 than last time - and I actually used my main character for once... now she's a "Platinum Lieutenant of the Minotaur". That line barely fits on the screen...

Went to work after that - looks like I'm actually getting rid of some of my "I don't want these DVDs anymore" pile finally - Hesham agreed to slowly buy off my Gundam Wing DVDs, starting with Endless Waltz and DVD1. And, Fae has promised to buy the 2nd half of Tenchi Universe when she can afford it. Just have to figure out how to get rid of Zenki, Blue Sub 6, and Battle Athletes OVA...

Tomorrow is Pat's birthday party... unless weather cancels it. Looks like it might get a bit nasty in the early morning, so the whole thing might be called off and moved to Thursday. Who knows...

And yeah, I still need to dump the contents of my digicam... I think I'll do that now, actually, so I have room for pics tomorrow...

December 10, 2002
I like chicken...

Like any other day, Monday started with sleeping. Woke up probably around 12:30, but had to do a bunch of things, like get a $20 rebate that had to be mailed THAT day or it would be void, and maybe attempt to set up the broadband router for which that rebate was for. At least I got the first part of that done... I don't even have a 2nd ethernet cable, so I can't set up the router right now. (And I'm still wondering exactly what I would do with the 486 connected to the internet anyways...)

I went out at 3:00 to meet Patty, Pat, Harrah, and Stacy at SF. Didn't get there until 4:00 due to traffic. Watched them play Nascar a bit, I played one round of SC2 conquest (and the guy before, who was simply holding the joystick down and jamming K) had left that entire side DRENCHED with his sweat. (How do you sweat when jamming ONE button? He wasn't even strategizing!) I had to get the attendant to clean the controls off with Windex before I would touch it. Absolutely disgusting -_-

We went to eat. That Texas BBQ place was pretty good - fries good, but their mashed potatoes need flavor. Apparently, they don't have gravy. Anyways, played a bunch of Wangan Midnight racing (Patty got a 15+ winning streak against us, then lost to the CPU) and Drummania (I passed P.P.R. and Anarchy in the U.K.!), then Pat needed to leave. We stopped by to visit Patty's mom, then gave Pat directions to go home. I hope he made it ok...

Patty and I went on to Chris's house, and didn't have much time for anything other than a bunch of vs. matches of Tekken 4. Xiaoyu vs. Miharu, both in sei-fuku == interesting match o.O Headed back to Patty's house, this time cutting through DC rather than taking 95 all the way up. We get some interesting digicam pics on the way up, too...

I drop her off, and head home... eat all the food I had left over, and went to sleep. Not much else happened after that... today, I need to meet Natheer over at MC so we can plan our project a bit, and then I have to work till closing again. Yay... at least, I'm told that I'm finally getting a raise, though the amount of said raise is yet to be determined, but I'm entitled to backpay since it was supposed to be effective as of some time ago. And boy, do I need that money... that ADV money really did last only a month ^^;

Pasta yummy...

Yeah... did something ridiculously stupid today...

I had been so busy the past week/month/undefined time period that I had forgotten my mom's birthday. -_- I managed to take off work early so that we could have dinner.

Dinner arrangements were made at That's Amore in Rockville (where Peter [my bro, for those of you who didn't know] worked over 2 years ago). Our order included many things which names I do not know - an interesting salad that had many types of lettuce, strawberries, and almond slices in a raspberry vinegrette... rockfish and some type of beans... some type of pasta in a slightly spicy tomato sauce... and chicken in a different yet still spicy tomato sauce. Was all pretty good ^^; Also had a somewhat new type of cake - a Mango cake o.O Basically, very little of it was actually cake, but it was largely conposed of a solid mango cream, and covered with thin mango slices. Very unique... though I would have preferred more actual cake-like material ^^;

Went home, and Peter immediately left for another engagement he had. Mom went upstairs to sleep, and I watched Lilo and Stitch. o.O Right now, debating what to watch - Arjuna DVD2, Strawberry Eggs DVD3, or Kiki's Delivery Service. Kiki's is winning ^^;

Why am I still up?...

Disclaimer: Many, many names are probably mispelled in this entry. ^^;

Saturday: Woke up, went to class. I'm apparently the first to arrive, since I wanted some time to actually start studying the material we're about to get quized on. Joy, Carrie, and a few others walk in shortly afterwards (as I'm propping the door open to try to get rid of the damp carpet stench left behind for us), then the rest of the class comes. No Cristina... again. I wonder what happened?

The final project is announced - another skit, but this time we're allowed to do it on videotape, if we can scramble all the arrangements together ourselves, since presentation is in two weeks (the last class session). I end up working with Natheer for the first skit - an amusing piece about J-Pop concerts o.O The 2nd skit, I'm paired up with Carrie and Arisa - apparently, I'm a partygoer hitting on the other two o.O This'll be... uhh... hmmm... odd ^^;

Anyways, directly after that, went to Suncoast, since they scheduled me at 4, and class lets out at 3:10. I arrive at 3:55, which means I had to clock in right away and had no time to eat. Normally, I wouldn't have had that problem, except the line to get into the mall parking lot was backed up IN I-270 FOR 20 MINUTES. When a line for mall parking stretches into an interstate highway, you know something's wrong with the way the roads are designed. -_-

Anyways, ended up foodless, until some people Calvin knew actually did a food run for us, since Hesham (the new 3rd key, replacing Greg who just recently quit) was attending his mother, who I heard was in a car accident due to the snow. ;_; Of course, it meant Calvin and I were in the store alone, and it was busy to the point that we were basically ringing people up nonstop the entire night.

And I didn't have my glasses.

I was driving with my sunglasses on, so I had forgotten to switch back to my normal, not-tinted glasses. Since I can't really wear sunglasses on the clock, I worked the entire shift near-sighted. Good thing I was on register most of the time - finding videos took a very long time since I can't read things over two feet away without my glasses.

Oh well. Went home, ended up playing yet more DDR - finally got a AAA in DDR MAX J - Bye Bye Baby Balloon on light, on 2x - and got everything in light/standard to AA or above. I was surprised - Orion.78 civ standard + Healing Vision -angelic- standard + MAX 300 standard == 203 million points if done well enough. o.O I'm now the lead record in non-EX for all my saves again. ^^;

Now I'm hungry, so I'll probably eat, watch Petite Princess Yucie 3 (apparently, we released it while I was out today), and sleep. Tomorrow, we're supposed to drive the Volvo (which is supposedly in undrivable condition) to the mechanic's to let him work on it, then I have to be at work from 1 to 7:30pm. Might go to Dave's afterwards, though our original plans for Sunday were ruined by the work hours which James refused to allow anyone to cover for. Apparently, I'm stuck working weekends for the rest of the year.

December 06, 2002
It's too cold...

The clock is finally fixed - I assume the people at Eryxma finally got to my support ticket that I submitted about the problem (there was a big backlog of ticket handling due to technical difficulties, so the amount of time taken to solve this problem was a bit long, but acceptable).

Thursday was pretty much a day spent home. It snowed around 6 inches here, so we ate lunch, I slept, and we shoveled snow between 3:30 and 6pm. (Yes, it takes that long to shovel our driveway.) I attempted calling work several times throughout the day, but either got a busy signal, or no answer. Turns out that the store didn't open until around 3 or 4, when Calvin arrived. One of the temps also made it to work, but that was it. Oh well...

Today, car arrangements were a little interesting... my brother took the Nissan (pickup) to work, while around noontime, I took the Acura, and gave my mom a ride. We ate lunch and I dropped her off at the office, then I went to Suncoast (which is how I found out someone actually made it to the store on Thursday), and left. (Paychecks weren't in yet - I assume FedEx was having problems with the snow too.) Went to club, met up with Patty in the student lounge, and basically took a nap until it was time to move to the club rooms.

Club today was a smaller turnout than usual, though it was the first time my PS2 was being used. We played DDR 5th Mix, DDRMAX J and USA, and PPP. Josh was hungry, so we left to get pho. (Note to self: pho and my stomach do NOT mix.) When we came back, they were playing Super Bust-A-Move 2 (a.k.a. Puzzle Bobble, which it really should be called), and I proceeded to amass a winning streak before the person with the controllers left. (Only lost one set against Eric.)

PPP gave us a scare after that - a lot of the sensors stopped registering properly (like, 4 out of 5 of them). After a LOT of adjustment of the calibration dials, we finally got them working again, and played that for a while. Later on, they played Guilty Gear X while I went to sleep again, and we went back to 5th Mix. I finished up my Dance Master Single status there, getting all the Trick songs to A or above. Now to see if Extra Mix has Dance Master things... =P

There was also an interesting variant of a snowball fight being played while I was working on 5th Mix... one person was designated "Solid Snake" and everyone else were the "russian guards"... "Snake"'s objective was to peg the guards with as many snowballs as possible, without being seen. If one of the "guards" spots "Snake," that round is over and the roles rotate. At the end, whichever "Snake" got the most hits wins. I would have played, but I don't like getting hit by snowballs ^^;

At the end, Patty's friends called and said they were going to a movie - since my parents didn't want me going to XP Lasersport in the Acura, and with potentially icy road conditions, we decided she might as well see the movie, and I go directly home. We did just that, and here I am... I have to see what I have to study for class tomorrow, and I have to clean the Ignition pad (haven't done it in a while, and I like to keep it clean), but that's pretty much it for today. Tomorrow, I have my typical class then work schedule. I'm scheduled at 4, even though I told them travel time might make that impossible, but we'll see what happens...

I hope Cristina comes to class tomorrow... haven't seen her since the day of Tiff's birthday party, wonder how she's doing after she wasn't able to meet up with Adam over Thanksgiving...

Yuki wo miteita...

It's snowing... I wonder how much will be on the ground in the morning...

I was up getting all the Dance Master Single things in DDR MAX J... just have to do double now, but I need better pads to do that...

Had a rather uneventful day. Went to work, and found out that I had to work on Sunday (there is no one available to cover my shift, as usual), so plans for a Ghibli marathon on the HDTV are shot down before they are started. -_- Started work at 4pm, got off at 9:50, went to Dave's place to pick up my digicam which I had accidentally left behind, and went home. What was different was that today I was driving the Acura Legend. Definitely very different from driving the Volvo, but not nearly as unwieldy as the Lincoln. Drove smoothly and accelerated much faster than the Volvo (of course), but couldn't stop quite as quickly, so that took a little getting used to. I probably won't be driving it for very long though... for now, it seems I'll just be driving it until the Volvo is fixed.

Anyways, might as well go to sleep. I probably won't have to work tomorrow if the snow is still on the ground in the afternoon... we'll see what happens, I guess ^^;

Drop the bakudan...

Brand new edit for you guys - started this late last night and finished it up over the afternoon. Hope it turned out ok... download the DROP THE BOMB -System S.F. Mix- edit "bakudan".

The Volvo is pretty much dead... Josh found a gigantic oil leak on the top of the engine last night, as the car kept stalling out whenever the car was idling. Despite this, I managed to make it over to Dave's place just now. The car stalled out on the intersection of Georgia Ave. and Randolph, and again at 16th St. and East-West Hwy. Apparently, people don't know what hazard lights mean and like to hug my rear anyways, THEN get mad when I don't move because I'm trying to restart my engine.

Anyways, Dave just played some PPP for the first time - and now, after confirming that we can't use DVD Region Free on my modded PS2, we (Dave, Matt, Josh, and myself) are about to watch Porco Rosso. I need money for food ;_;

Barrel full of Sandstorm edits...

Yep, ended up going to Chris's house. Played Metroid Prime, DDR 3rd Mix, DDR MAX, watched FLCL and Cowboy Bebop Best Sessions, and I worked on Chris's comp. I figured out why nothing on the secondary IDE chain was being detected - the entire 2nd chain was disabled in the BIOS settings! Pakman had completely failed to notice this when he was putting in my burner, too... hit the little "+" key to change the setting, and poof, the secondary IDE chain was active. I have the two HDDs chained together in primary, and the two CD drives (the burner being master, for now) chained together in secondary.

Installed WinXP - as expected, took some time, but we got pretty much everything working... though, not much can be expected from a P2-400. Of course, the system isn't working nearly as well as Patty's P3-900 or so is. Plus, the 48x Creative CD-ROM drive is spazzing out every so often, mostly when you open a folder with MANY files in it. (I'm gonna try adding a jumper to the Creative and/or checking for a firmware upgrade, then switching around the master/slave duties if that doesn't work.) At least it's running a hell of a lot better than when WinME was on it. I ended up leaving my stuff behind and just going back home, since it was late and I wasn't really done anyways. I'll come back tomorrow.

While I'm updating... some of you may have heard this, but my brother got his new BMW M3. o.O If you wanted to see it, here's a pic:

The clock on this site still isn't fixed -_- While I can manually fix the timestamp on my own entries, comments will be frozen with the incorrect time stamped on them. Ugh -_-

Holiday's over...

First of all, the clock on this system is 12 hours slow, and it's really bugging me, since I have to manually edit the date/time of all my entries so that it shows the time I actually wrote them -_-

Anyways, I went to work on Friday somewhat on time since the family all went to see a family friend in Potomac a few hours after that last entry. I worked all day, and during break, I picked up a copy of Capcom vs SNK 2 for PS2. Cousins were over, it was one of their favorite games, and I needed a good fighter (that WASN'T Tekken) anyways. Came back home at 10:30... and the house is empty. And stays that way for 2 more hours. Everyone arrives, and turns out that they're leaving to go home in a few minutes, instead of staying the night as previously planned. (While one of my cousins lives in New Jersey, the other two live in Massachusetts, so they wanted to split the drive between two days rather than shooting it all on Saturday.) So we play two vs. rounds before they actually leave. Oh well.

Today, nothing much happened. Played a little DDR... boy, am I completely out of practice. -_- Went to work, came back from work, writing this entry, etc. I didn't get the Saturday off for the SF tournament/IIDX showcase, but it doesn't matter, since it's cancelled due to machine failure. I mysteriously have tomorrow off, though... so I might do something. Maybe go to Chris's house...
